Il salone registra un pubblico di 4.500 visitatori, e si conferma piattaforma per la moda, la cultura e i nuovi trend del vintage in Italia e non solo Feedback positivi e importanti conferme per Vintage Selection n.24 (Firenze, 2-5 luglio 2014), una delle mostre-mercato più autorevoli e prestigiose in Italia e in Europa per la moda e l’oggettistica vintage e il remake di qualità, che si svolge in concomitanza con Pitti Filati.
La Stazione Leopolda ha ospitato anche a questa edizione collezionisti e appassionati, ma anche buyer, trend hunter e creativi che hanno visitato la fiera per fare ricerca sulla moda d’archivio. Nei quattro giorni del salone sono stati circa 4.500 i visitatori, un totale che conferma i livelli di presenze raggiunte dalla manifestazione un anno fa. Tra il pubblico intervenuto tanti i buyer e gli operatori del settore arrivati a Firenze per Pitti Filati, e che hanno visitato e apprezzato anche Vintage Selection, e tra questi tanti compratori esteri con numeri in netta crescita.
“Vintage Selection si è confermato ancora una volta come uno degli appuntamenti più attesi per i cultori internazionali del vintage”, afferma Agostino Poletto, amministratore unico di Stazione Leopolda. “Una fiera trasversale che attrae non solo gli appassionati ma anche gli operatori del settore e i designer degli uffici stile dei brand della moda, che vengono a Firenze per Pitti Filati e non mancano di fare una visita al Vintage, per ispirarsi al passato nel concepire le loro prossime collezioni. E poi il tema, che a questa edizione era “Made in Denim”, il corollario di eventi e progetti speciali che presentiamo a ogni edizione – uno fra tutti la mostra specifica “I.LOVE.DENIM”, dedicata a pezzi cult di denim vintage - raccolgono feedback positivi, e fanno del salone un vero e proprio riferimento e punto d’incontro per la cultura vintage, e per le nuove tendenze che questa può esprimere”.
Tra gli eventi e i progetti nel ricco calendario della manifestazione hanno infatti raccolto consensi e hanno intrattenuto il pubblico il set fotografico “LAMPINPOSA”, allestito in stile anni ‘60, all’interno del quale centinaia di vintage-maniaci si sono fatti immortalare con una polaroid di nuova generazione; la divertente mostra curata da “VINTAGE TOURS”, che ha visto protagonisti mezzi di trasporto a due e quattro ruote, dalla Vespa alla Lambretta, dal Ciao all’Atala; i diversi dj-set che hanno accompagnato con musica a tema le serate alla Stazione Leopolda; e come già citata, la mostra “I.LOVE.DENIM”, che ha reso protagonisti capi ed accessori denim di archivio - tra i quali una serie di iconici giubbini e salopette, dagli anni ’30 agli anni’80 - messi a disposizione da alcuni degli espositori (A.N.G.E.L.O., ETOILE VINTAGE DI CHIARUGI STELLA, POST POST RAVENNA, SHABBY CHIC VINTAGE, STREET DOING VINTAGE FIRENZE), che ha introdotto il tema di questa edizione e si è idealmente collegata al progetto speciale “Denim Italiano – Italian Denim Makers”, presentato per la prima volta a Pitti Filati.

Vintage Selection all denim!
The event welcomed 4,500 visitors and confirmed its standing as the key platform for vintage fashions, culture and trends in Italy and beyond The positive comments and important statements confirm that Vintage Selection (the 24th edition was held in Florence from 2-5 July 2014) is one of the most prestigious fairmarkets dedicated to vintage fashions, design objects and quality remakes in Italy and Europe. Vintage Selection is held at the same time as Pitti Filati.
Once again, the Stazione Leopolda welcomed collectors and enthusiasts, as well as buyers, trend hunters and creatives who came to the fair to do research on “archive fashions”. About 4,500 visitors came to the fair during its four days, a figure that is equal to the attendance at last year’s edition. The Vintage Selection audience included many of the buyers and members of the trade who came to Florence for Pitti Filati; they visited the fair and liked what they saw! And we must add that there are always more buyers from abroad. “Vintage Selection has once again proved that it is one of the most eagerly awaited events for the world’s vintage enthusiasts”, says Agostino Poletto, sole administrator of the Stazione Leopolda. “It is a complete event that draws not only enthusiasts, but also members of the trade and designers from the style bureaus of major fashion labels. They come to Florence for Pitti Filati, and never miss a stop at Vintage Selection to find inspiration from the past for their coming collections. The themes – this time it was “Made in Denim”, a corollary to the special events and projects that we present each season, always bring positive feedback. One of the several events was the exhibition entitled “I.LOVE.DENIM”, dedicated to cult vintage denim. These events make Vintage Selection a key reference and crossroads for vintage culture and for the new trends that it can trigger”.
Among the events and projects on the full calendar that received high ratings and entertained the public we have to mention, the 1960s-style “LAMPINPOSA” photo set where hundreds of vintage-maniacs had themselves immortalized by a new-generation Polaroid camera; the delightful exhibition curated by “VINTAGE TOURS”, featuring vintage two- and four-wheeled vehicles from the Vespa to the Lambretta, from the Ciao to the Atala; the several DJ sets that enlivened the evenings at the Stazione Leopolda with theme music; and the “I.LOVE.DENIM” exhibition, showcasing vintage denim clothes and accessories – including a group of iconic jackets and overalls from the 1930s-80s loaned by some of the VS exhibitors (A.N.G.E.L.O., ETOILE VINTAGE DI CHIARUGI STELLA, POST POST RAVENNA, SHABBY CHIC VINTAGE, STREET DOING VINTAGE FIRENZE). The exhibition “introduced” this edition’s theme and was the ideal link with the special project “Denim Italiano – Italian Denim Makers”, that made its debut at Pitti Filati.
